Tin box, wooden box, paper box and plastic box are the four most common packaging. Compared with other materials, metal box is completely environment-friendly. Besides this, its beautiful printing, reusable feature causes many consumers like it. Do you know except for graphic personalism, what other decorative options we can use to enhance our brand and make our products stand out of crowd on the shelf? This article will show you all these options from 3 aspects. After reading it, I'm sure you will know more about how to create remarkable tin packaging by using the materials' features.

1. Finishes

After tinplate printing, we will coat a layer of varnish to protect the color. The 4 most common varnish are glossy, matte, Spot gloss and Metallic. Except for them, we have blast oil, internal print, and newly developed Starlight varnish to decorate the tin box.

  • Gloss varnish: It can bring us a vibrant and shiny look by using this varnish.
  • Matte varnish: It can generate a smooth textured finish and give us a luxury top grade feeling.
  • Spot gloss varnish: Combine gloss and matte varnish to hight our logo or other pattern.
  • Metallic: Metallic finish comes out by using metal natural properties. We can see the texture of metal through this finish.
  • Internal print: We can also print the inside of tin box. Create a better out of box experience for customers.
  • Blasting varnish: Create a rough-touch feeling.
  • Starlight varnish: If gloss varnish is not shiny enough, don't worry, we have starlight coating. Blink like stars.

2. Enhancements

Except for various vanish choices, we can also do many enhancements on tin box.

  • Emboss: We can use emboss to diverify our pattern design
  • Windows: We can make a window tin box. So customers can see the product inside without opennning the cover.
  • Stacking: Stackable tin box can help with storage and display on shelf.
  • Handles: Handles are great for reusable tins, giving them excellent longevity
  • wheel: Add wheels to the tin box, and it becomes a toy for children.

3. Closures

The third aspect is: we can choose the closure structure of tin box. Most common is: slip cover, plug lid, hinged lid, sliding lid, lever lid, and clip cover.

  • Slip lids: These lids slip over the main body of the tin
  • Plug lids: This lid sits directly inside the tin to create a flush finish
  • Hinged lid: Choose from either a plug or slip style lid
  • Sliding lid: These lids sit on runners to make them slide open
  • Lever lid: Create a snug seal for your product using a lever lid
  • Clip lid: Great for creating a tight seal to order to keep the product fresh
